·       1. In this place famous Lakhiya Bhoot(Ghost) festival is celebrated. All over the Uttrakhand people come to see this festival. It is believed that beloved disciple of Lord Shiva, Virbhdra emblemed in Lakhiya he stated dance like a fiery ghost. This festival celebrated in Soar Valley past 400 years. The famous Hiljata of Pithoragarh is Kumor Hiljatra.

·     2.  Shaus used to decorate songs as their own and Tibetan weaving art called Dan. In these woollen goods, we find the influence of the Kumaoni and Tibetan styles. Pithoragarh also has a distinctive style of making various baskets called Doka. The art of Pahari Jatra Mukhotas (Masks) is also notable.

The local king "Chand" revolted against them and a war started between "Pal" and "Chand". This war continued for three generations, in which Pal was ruled and sometimes the king of Chand ruled this kingdom.

·      6. In the Chaudan region of Pithoragarh district, a flower - Kandali  blooms once every 12 years and people celebrate the festival of Kandali between August and October. The week-long festival is attended by locals - Shauka or Rang - with enthusiasm in various villages in the region. Some stories are associated with this festival, which expresses the matrimonial tradition of hobbies. In the first story, it is said that a widow's only son died after tasting Kandhali's poisonous flower. In the second story, this flower symbolizes famine and poverty. According to the third and most popular story, the region was attacked once, while the men were away for business. The brave women overtook the enemy, who hid in the bushes of the Kandali, and they attacked the bushes and destroyed the enemy. The festival reminds them of their bravery and destroys the plants to remind the local people of the incident and prevent further accidents to the women.

The art called Aipan is a popular art form of Kumaon, and the walls, pieces of paper and cloth are decorated with various geometrical and depictions of other gods, goddesses and objects of nature such as Peachaurs or Dupattas are also decorated in this manner. This art is generally design in Deewali festival.
